Agro SP Corridor: innovation, institutional articulation and future
Pecege commands the executive operation of the activities of the 400 km ecosystem that became known as the Brazilian agro Silicon Valley
In 2025, in addition to taking over the management of the Piracicaba Technology Park, the Pecege Institute was also designated to lead the executive operation of the activities of the State Agricultural Innovation Corridor, the so-called Agro SP Corridor. It is a 400 km ecosystem that connects the hubs of Ribeirão Preto, São Carlos, Piracicaba, Campinas, and São José dos Campos.
The Agro Corridor is a strategic alliance that connects the technology parks of these cities to entities such as Embrapa and Sebrae and the São Paulo Secretariat of Agriculture, further integrating universities, companies, and startups to boost innovation in the region’s agribusiness.
The Revista Estratégias e Soluções, from the Pecege Institute, brought together the president of Pecege, Ricardo Shirota, the director of projects at the Piracicaba Technology Park, Alexandre Barreto, and the park’s CEO, Pedro Chamochumbi, to talk a little more about the history of the Agro SP Corridor, which became known as the Brazilian Agro Silicon Valley. It’s worth watching!
