How to turn a TCC into a business
New management of the Piracicaba Technology Park offers consulting to MBA graduates
The new project director of the Piracicaba Technology Park (PTP), Alexandre Barreto, often says that one of the greatest rewards he has ever had in life was seeing his MBA USP/Esalq students structure companies based on their final course projects (TCC).
An expert in project management and development, Barreto worked from 2019 to 2024 as an advisor on numerous TCCs. Today at PTP, under the management of the Pecege Institute, he is leading an initiative called a “service desk,” which includes offering free consulting to MBA students and alumni in transforming their final course projects into viable businesses and assisting them in participating in public calls for proposals.
According to him, among the project’s objectives is to retain talent in Piracicaba. Another mission of the Park is to provide services and support resident companies. To learn more about this initiative and discover how to turn a project into a business, the magazine Estratégias e Soluções, from Instituto Pecege, invited Barreto for a conversation with the presenter of the magazine’s videocast, Soraia Fessel.
