Pecege Identity – Episode 9: Ricardo Harbs

“Agribusiness allows the economist to apply every type of analysis imaginable”

In celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the Pecege Institute, the Strategies and Solutions (E&S) Magazine gathered some of the voices that led the institution’s trajectory. The mission was to reconstruct the paths that gave rise to one of the largest education and innovation ecosystems in the interior of São Paulo — today a reference in teaching, research, technology, and society.

This initiative also marks the launch of the documentary series “Inspiring Trajectories”, created by the magazine to tell the stories of people who transformed their careers into legacies in the most diverse areas of knowledge. The first season, “Pecege Identity”, premiered on June 2nd on the magazine’s Youtube channel.

In episode 9, Ricardo Harbs, manager of the institute’s Educational Programs, recalls his decision to leave the madness of Grande ABC (metropolitan region of São Paulo) to move to Piracicaba, where he fulfilled his dream of pursuing postgraduate studies in Economics. This is how he joined USP/Esalq and met Pecege, the place where he would later work professionally. “Agribusiness allows economists to apply every type of analysis imaginable,” he states. This is the last episode of the season. Watch now by clicking below.
