“I was one of the first Economics interns”

In celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the Pecege Institute, the Strategies and Solutions (E&S) Magazine gathered some of the voices that led the institution’s trajectory. The mission was to reconstruct the paths that gave rise to one of the largest education and innovation ecosystems in the interior of São Paulo — today a reference in teaching, research, technology, and society.

This initiative also marks the launch of the documentary series “Inspiring Trajectories”, created by the magazine to tell the stories of people who transformed their careers into legacies in the most diverse areas of knowledge. The first season, “Pecege Identity”, premiered on June 2nd on the magazine’s Youtube channel.

In episode 8, Luís Henrique Andia, CFO of the institute, explains that, although he lives in Santa Bárbara d’Oeste, he studied in Piracicaba during High School. And it was at school, influenced by his teachers, that the desire to study agronomy at USP/Esalq was born. “I was one of the first Economics interns,” he recalls.
